Most days I get emails from members asking questions about PT Distinction's online personal training software, its features and what it can do for them and their clients.

I thought that it would be helpful to address some of the most common questions and fire it out for you to know, just in case any of these questions were on your mind as well.

Can me and my clients use the website and play programs on Apple devices?

Yes, of course.

PT Distinction and all its features, including videos, are fully optimised for all devices and operating systems—Apple included. Even your custom exercise videos are formatted to play on all devices.

The only current limitation is for users without internet access, as we don’t have a native Apple app at the moment. That said, clients in offline situations (the 2% of the world without internet!) can simply print out the programs you create for them—complete with photos and full descriptions of each exercise.

Am I tied into a long-term contract if I subscribe?

No.

There’s no set or minimum term. You’re free to cancel at any time, and it’s easy to do so.

Is there really a market for online personal training?

Absolutely.

Google gets over 9,000 searches every month for the terms “online personal trainer” and “online personal training.” So that would be a… yes!

My client can’t log in! What am I doing wrong?

Here are the key things to check:

  1. Email Address – Make sure your client is using the same email address you used when setting them up in PT Distinction.
  2. Spam Folder – Sometimes, the welcome email (with login details) may land in the spam folder. This is rare, but worth checking.
  3. Password – Confirm they are entering the correct password.
  4. After you create your client’s first program or assessment and choose to send them an email, that message will include their login details and temporary password.
  5. They can update this password once they log in to their personal account.

I edited and sent the “done for you emails” but haven’t received any response. What should I do?

This is a common issue—not with the system, but with human behavior.

Many people receive an email, mean to come back to it later, and then forget. The solution? Follow up!

Use short, friendly messages like this:

Hi [Name],
I sent you an email a couple of days ago about my awesome new online coaching service that I think would be perfect for you. Just checking if you got the message?

You’d be surprised how often you’ll get a positive response—just make sure you keep following up until you do.

Can I create workout templates in PT Distinction to personalise later?

Yes, you can—and it’s really easy.

  1. Go to “Build New Program Phase”.
  2. Set it up as if you were doing it for a real client.
  3. Use a template name like Fat Loss Template Phase 1.
  4. Assign it to a made-up email like template1@templatemail.com.
  5. Build the template using the drag and drop system, then save.

It will now appear on your home screen, ready to use.

When you want to assign it to a real client:

  • Select the template.
  • Click Copy from the dropdown.
  • Personalise it, assign it to your client, and send.

Hope These Help!
