A wee bit about me and why I do what I do. 

27 months ago I was lower than I’d ever been in my life, 27.5 stone , almost forty years old and completely at my wits end.

I walked into a gym a broken man, and asked for help, I took on a pt and a training programme and committed myself to it totally, my health improves, both mentally and physically, my fitness and strength start to get better, I change shape, people start to notice and it drives me on.

Over the next twelve months, we built it up, we pushed on and I lost 135lbs of body fat.

I went from 3 half hour sessions a week to training six days a week and dedicating my entire lifestyle to improving my health and fitness.

The gym saved my life, and I realised I’d have no more satisfaction than helping others follow the same path I did.
I then took on the challenge of getting qualified and am proud to say i now hold my level 2 fitness instructor/level three personal trainer/elite kettlebell instructor and nutrition qualifications,

If you feel like you’d like to make a change for the better. No matter how big or small, get in touch, it may be the best thing you ever do !

I had gained weight during the first lockdown and sat on my ass doing nothing about it . Besides this I felt sluggish, wrecked and drained all the time, my energy levels were also low , and no amount of sleep was going to solve this. I knew I needed to take the bull by the horns so I signed up with Geoff in August '20 for PT sessions at the gym .

I walked through the doors of the gym feeling excited and also sick to the pit of my stomach at the thought of the hard work that lay ahead of me but knew it was something I needed to do for me and aren't I glad I took this step forward 

During the next few months at the gym , I adapted surprisingly well to the workouts Geoff had planned out for me  (as well as the tasty food plans  which I'm never hungry after eating!!) I became very determined, and worked hard , soon I began to notice the changes in my body - weight loss and muscle definition beginning to show this drive me on and made me more determined  Dnt get me wrong , there were tough sessions , and days i trailed my ass out the door afterwards, but hey no pain no gain right  Determination + hard work = results  I have absolutely enjoyed every session at the gym and felt ontop of the world afterwards  my energy levels hugely increased , I no longer felt sluggish wrecked or drained . Im full of energy and feel I can now take on the world 

LOCKDOWNS

Now we are back in another lockdown, to be honest this hit me hard , as id worked so hard to get to where I was , but I was determined not to let all my hard work slip away. Geoff gave us all a million percent and went above and beyond what a PT does , he posted work out videos for us to do at home , as well as set up an app , which included more workouts and videos and also has set up zoom calls where we can also do group workouts , these are brilliant craic  all fantastic ways to keep us busy at home and keep us motivated and to continue with our training .
No its not the same doing this all at home as it would be at the gym but its keeping us going until gyms reopen .

My goals for when the gyms reopen are to continue putting in the effort and up my weight sessions 
I made it clear at the beginning that I never wanted to be skinning , I wanted to be fit, stong and healthy. My end goal is to have the healthy athletic look and with hard work and determination I will get there 

Last but not least , I want to take this time to give huge credit to Geoff our PT .

I know you're modest and dnt take credit , but Infact you are our backbone and everyone would agree with me , without you , your help , support, guidance and knowledge, we wouldn't be on this amazing life changing journey we are on . Your drive , you're endless efforts and consistency to motivate and keep us pushing on in the right direction even through a lockdown deserves huge praise to you. 
Baring in mind you have a wee family , family commitments, work as well as keeping your own training going etc you still find the time for us all  you're always thinking outside the box in ways to change things up , plus the fact everyone is at different stages with their fitness , and you have plenty for all of us to do at home . Thats outstanding , and I can guarantee there isn't another PT out there that works tirelessly and as hard as you do for their clients .

Thanks Geoff  youre a star, so for once take the bloody credit 

Jade has been on her weight loss journey from before she started with me, but when she came to me for pt, becoming a gym nut wasn’t really top of her agenda, more necessity than want, but wow, what a change in attitude to training, both physically and mentally, she’s smashing it

Before I found Geoff for my PT I was very unfit and unhealthy. I was also very weak, in mind and body. Going to sessions with him in the gym has completely changed my perception of exercise and fitness. It's fun and enjoyable while getting results. Having had poor mental health, it has strengthened my thought process, gave me something to look forward to and something I enjoy doing. Going to the gym leaves me having a more positive outlook on everything, a feeling that I belong and have purpose. The gym totally keeps my mental health from dipping. I also have quite a few health issues which are taken into consideration by Geoff but I push myself and so does he because thats what I need and want. It's not easy and it's not ment to be. But if you want it enough he will back you 100%. He has the drive to see me succeed and in turn that gives me the drive to be the best I can.

During the lockdowns a lot of peoples mental health who is a gym goer has taken a hit. The great thing for me is that mine hasn't. Geoff cares so much to not see a dip in physical or mental fitness that he has put the time and effort and hard work into making sure I and everyone else have had the tools to carry on at home, equipment, weights workouts, bodyweight workouts, zoom sessions, moral support, and I've taken full advantage of it and am busting my ass when I can. I was going to the gym five days a week so there is no excuse not to do some form of fitness at home five days a week.

When the gyms re-open again I plan to work harder and lift heavier . There is always room for improvement. You have to trust the process. Nothing is instant. Hard work and determination are key. My mental health is great. My physical fitness is at a stage were I never thought I'd see in my lifetime because I can run a bit lol! My body shape has changed and I've got some wee muscles  (I'll be a tank someday lmao). No regrets. No excuses. No looking back, only forward. ,
