I started training with Denny in March 2011, motivated at the time by my upcoming wedding. By the time my wedding arrived in October of that same year, I had lost 13 kg, and although the motivation from the wedding passed, our training didn’t! The variety in Denny’s training, from kettlebells to boxing gloves and from strength to cardio, keeps you interested and challenged and the training being in the outdoors is the best way to start your day. Saturday group sessions have now become a routine and a weekend always starts off so much better when you have worked out with Denny. Group sessions are great as Denny caters for all different fitness levels, without making you feel left out or under-challenged.
The best part is that we have now been training with Denny for almost two years and the weight has stayed off, now totalling 20kg’s. Denny is knowledgeable about training but also holds you accountable to your commitment, with regular testing and support with nutrition. With my new lifestyle, I have now fallen pregnant and with a baby due in the middle of 2013, I have been able to continue my training with Denny in a safe and supported environment for my changing body, whilst still allowing me to maintain my fitness.
I would recommend training with Denny and KBAR Fitness to anyone, he is an amazing support but ensures that you challenge yourself and don’t give up.

All I ever wanted was abs, how hard could it possibly be? Very hard if you don't have a nutrition and training plan in place, I learned that pretty fast! I come from a sporting background and can not remember what it is like to not be active, still, I never manage to get to my only big fitness goal, abs! Until I met Denny. By that time I had almost given up on my dream and it took some convincing to get me to believe again. But with Denny’s support and knowledge, I got my training and nutrition back into place. So with the right tools and mindset, I started my 12-week ab challenge. To track my progress and keep me motivated we did measurements and took photos every week. It was amazing to see the results and knowing that if I just worked a little bit harder the coming week I could get even further. Under his coaching, I wrote down all my training, weights, meals, and goals. Week by week I could see improvement and I felt stronger and better than ever before! With Denny, it was never a question if we could do it or not it was always just “let's do it”.
It didn't take 12 weeks, it didn't even take 10 weeks…In 8 weeks I had those abs I always wanted.
Since these results, I have now become a trainer with KBAR Fitness.
